WeMakeSites care plans keep your website secure, fast and supported once it is live. Three plans, Essential, Growth and Pro, bundle hosting, automatic security updates, daily backups, round-the-clock uptime monitoring, monthly health reports and ongoing content edits. Higher plans add priority WhatsApp support, SEO health monitoring and more edit time each month. Care plans are optional but strongly recommended, a website left unattended will eventually break, get hacked, or fall behind. On a care plan, a hacked site is typically restored from the previous day's backup within hours, not weeks. We have rescued sites for clients who skipped care and got hacked, and the cleanup always costs more than years of care fees would have. Plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time.
Why it matters
Most websites in South Africa are launched and then forgotten. The agency moves on, the owner assumes it "just works," and 18 months later something breaks: a hacked plugin, an expired security certificate, a missed update, or a change that breaks checkout. The higher plans add more than just keeping the lights on. Growth includes monthly content edits (text changes, image swaps, small new pages), priority WhatsApp support during business hours, and quarterly performance checks. Pro adds SEO health monitoring, more edit time each month, and faster response times.
The price reflects what you actually get. Cheaper hosting exists, but that is only hosting, not care. Reliable hosting plus active maintenance, monitoring and support adds up to far more value than the plan costs. We bundle it because we set everything up with you and we want your site to stay healthy.
Care plans are month-to-month. No lock-in, no annual contract. If you ever decide care isn't for you, you can move to basic hosting at any point, and we will help you switch cleanly.

Do I need a care plan?
Strictly, no. Practically, yes. Every site we have taken over after a serious break, hack or rebuild was running without care, and the cleanup always cost more than years of care fees. If your website is a business asset, look after it like one.
Is hosting included?
Yes. Every care plan includes hosting on fast, reliable infrastructure, whatever your site is built on. You do not pay for hosting separately.
What if I just want hosting?
We don't offer hosting on its own. Care plans are bundled because hosting without active upkeep is exactly what causes the problems we get called in to fix. If basic hosting is truly all you need, cheaper options exist and we are happy to point you to good ones.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, month-to-month with no lock-in. Cancel and we hand over cleanly to your new provider. We will even help you move.
What counts as a 'content edit'?
Text changes, image swaps, small new sections on existing pages, updating product images or prices, and adding blog posts. Bigger work, like new page designs, new features or new integrations, is quoted separately.
What happens if my site gets hacked?
On a care plan, we restore from the previous day's backup, find how it happened, patch it, and strengthen your site against it, usually within hours. Without a care plan, you are at the mercy of whatever your host can do, which is often "restore a two-week-old backup and good luck."
