Three tiers — Essential (R449/month), Growth and Pro — bundle managed hosting, automatic security updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring, monthly health reports, and ongoing content edits. Higher tiers add priority WhatsApp support, SEO health monitoring, and more edit hours per month. Care plans are optional but highly recommended — a website without ongoing care will eventually break, get hacked, or fall behind on Core Web Vitals. We've taken on emergency rebuilds for clients who skipped care plans and got compromised; the cleanup cost is always more than years of care fees would have been. Care plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time.
Why this matters
Most websites in South Africa are launched and then forgotten. The agency moves on, the client assumes "it just works," and 18 months later something breaks: hacked WordPress plugin, expired SSL, a critical security update missed, a payment gateway version-bump that breaks checkout. Security updates are applied automatically. Daily off-site backups run with point-in-time restore. Uptime is monitored 24/7 with alerts before customers notice issues. SSL certificates renew automatically.
The higher tiers add proactive value beyond "keep the lights on." Growth includes monthly content edits (text changes, image swaps, new pages within reason), priority WhatsApp support during business hours, and quarterly Lighthouse audits. Pro adds SEO health monitoring (rankings, indexation, schema validity), more monthly edit time, and faster SLA responses.
The pricing reflects what we actually deliver. Cheaper hosting providers exist — but they're hosting, not care. Managed hosting plus active maintenance, monitoring, and support adds up to substantially more than R449/month at retail; we bundle it because we set the infrastructure up with you and we want clients to actually keep their sites healthy.
Care plans are month-to-month. No lock-in, no annual commitment. If you decide care isn't for you, you can move to vanilla hosting at any point — we'll help you transition cleanly.
