Migrate platforms without breaking your business

Moving a website to a new platform is the single riskiest kind of web project, and most agencies don't have a safe process for it. We have seen moves that wiped out years of Google traffic, broke order history, lost customer accounts, scrambled products, and turned most of a site's internal links into dead ends. None of that is necessary when it is done carefully.

We start by fully exporting and checking your current site: a list of every web address, a redirect plan, an inventory of your content, your search setup, and a snapshot of your traffic and rankings. We then build the new site alongside your live one, content moved across, structure rebuilt, addresses matched or redirected, search setup kept, and your other tools reconnected. Nothing goes live until we have thoroughly tested the new site and confirmed every address behaves as it should.

We keep downtime to a minimum. For most sites, we switch over in a single window with no downtime that visitors would notice. For online stores, we pick a quiet time, briefly pause new orders, complete the switch, and confirm the first real orders work end to end on the new platform.

The moves we handle most often are: off-the-shelf website builders to faster technology (owners fed up with limits or slow speed), older store platforms to a more manageable one (owners tired of the upkeep), slow shared hosting to fast, reliable hosting (owners tired of poor speed and security scares), and content-only moves where the platform is fine but the host is not.

After the move we watch Google for 30 days for any errors or ranking changes. Most moves cause a small, temporary dip of 5-15% that recovers within 4-8 weeks when redirects are correct. If it doesn't recover, that points to a redirect issue we will fix.
